Wyoming Storm , by Robert A. M. Stephens. In travels to the mid Rocky Mountains I happen to come across fairly good painting sources and this was no exception. Here, in the mid summer heat, a severe local storm has brewed up on Herman Lake near the Wind River area in central Wyoming and the light and storm have interacted for a moment for this scene in obvious fury and wonder. As quickly, like a woman's mood, it changed. In the collection of MDAC-St. Louis, MO, (now...Boeing), USA. Oil on Panel, 36" x 59". |
