The Pool, by Robert A. M. Stephens

Here we see a unique place in the west--this in the central and southern reaches of Utah. This fall coming from some cataract on high, plunges into this calming pool, replete with trout and cool waters, reflecting back the light and image of the falls unto itself. When I come across this sort of thing it begs to be captured realistically on panel for a final work-up. I hope I've done this justice, and someday I am returning here with a picnic in my Jeep and romance a maiden and maybe paint it again in a different time and light and aires.......
