Capital Reef , by Robert A. M. Stephens. Collection of Department of the Interior

This was a piece I did from several studies while on a prolonged Jeep trip in the reaches of southern Utah. Watching the light play on the reef area caught my eye and thus, I painted it as a 12" x 20", my normal on site size painting size for getting a local image on panel, then worked that up to a large piece for the Department of the Interior. This is the smaller study.
